Recent findings have revealed that certain compounds found in Green tea can help fight off the neurological damage that has been caused by the sleep disorder apnea, Researchers findings showed that when they added green tea to the drinking water of rats it seemed to protect them the effects of apnea when the disorder was replicated. Apparently apnea is a very common problem and can cause brief periods of “non breathing” and also loud snoring.
Research by the Lousville school of Kentucky seems to prove that compounds called catechin polyphenols act as antioxidants and help kill what are called oxygen free radicals. Symptoms of sleep apnea are snoring and intermittent gasping, green tea will obviously help in such cases however it is always sensible to consult your doctor.
So folks looks like green tea may be able to stop you snoring… yet another good reason to drink it.
