Earl Grey tea is one of the most popular blends of tea and has remained on top of tea lovers’ lists for many years. It is served in virtually every cup in homes from Asia to America. Here are 7 fascinating things you probably didn’t know about Earl Grey tea:
1. Earl Grey tea was once only used to refer to black tea.
Black tea is considered as the most commonly made available tea today, often used in both iced and hot drinks. Many years ago, black tea was the type of tea used and labeled as Earl Grey.
These days, however, the term ‘Earl Grey’ has also been used to label other types of green teas and tisanes, such as oolong, white tea and rooibos. I have to say Earl Grey is not my favorite cup of tea, I myself find the taste to be too perfumed however millions of tea lovers and tea suppliers will not agree with me.
Never mind.

Black tea and things you may not know.
If you’re after the taste and are a tea drinker, you’ll probably reach for a cup of hot, steaming black tea. Black tea is a particular favorite among tea lovers because it is full-bodied and robust. It is also praised for the good stuff it introduces into the body. Here are 7 things you didn’t know about black tea:
Black tea is not really black.
Every tea drinker will attest to this. Black tea has a rich, deep red-brown color. In Asia, particularly in Japan and China, black tea is actually called red tea. It is a very popular drink and may be served hot or cold. It is also the most available type of tea sold in many markets around the world.
I have to say I just adore black tea however the thing that is most important is that you buy genuine black tea from a trusted supplier.
